British Columbia (Tofino)

Tofino is a small town halfway up the Pacific coast on Victoria Island in British Columbia (Canada).  The town has a kicked back feel that was very reminiscent of Quepos in Costa Rica where schedules don't dictate the local’s way of life.  Tofino is known for fishing (Salmon), Surfing, Storm Watching in the winter, great beaches and other outdoors activities such as cycling, hiking and camping.  Tofino is accessible by land and air, and is only a short flight from Vancouver or Seattle allowing for a long-weekend break on short notice. The following photos were taken on a fishing trip for Salmon in the fall.  We were fortuanate to have some time to do a little hiking and beach combing between our fishing outings.
