Hawaii (Maui)

Maui Island in Hawaii offers abundant opportunities for activities and/or photography from the most beautiful beaches at sea level to Mt. Haleakala at over 10,000 feet in elevation.  Maui is one of seven of the major islands and probably the second most visited island behind Oahu.  However, it is not nearly as developed, which lends itself to a fairly relaxed atmosphere.  You could easily spend multiple weeks in Maui if you wanted to see the most popular sites.  It would take years to find all of the hidden gems not listed in the tourist guides.
